National Honor Society Involvement

Induction Into NHS

JT Clore was inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) in 2020. Since then JT had the opportunity to help in many different activities with NHS. These range from food drives, to helping with the American Legion, and even the Special Olympics at EIU! Whether it was his time, or his resources that he was donating, whatever it was JT was happy to jump in and donate toward the project at hand! In 2021 JT baked cookies to put in platters. The NHS kids, including JT, and their advisor then went around town and hand delivered the festive platters to elders in the community to spread some Christmas joy!

Operation Enduring Support

In early 2022 NHS helped to collect supplies to put into care packages and be sent off overseas to those fighting for our freedoms abroad. JT helped to encourage others to bring things in, and he made sure to do his part as well by bringing supplies in. The NHS students, including JT, and their advisor also spent a Saturday out at the corner outside the school getting donations for Operation Enduring Support from people in their vehicles. It may have been a cold day, but it was well worth it. All-in-all Operation Enduring Support was declared a success by Kansas NHS, and JT had a great experience helping out with it! In the picture JT is seen with other NHS members and their advisor, holding a box of donations above his head.
